 Quick and Healthy Breakfast Ideas
Sometimes trying to come up with new and healthy meals for breakfast can be a challenge.
Here are some ideas that have worked for my family:
- Breakfast Burrito
- Breakfast Omelet
- Eggs and Beans
- Just Eggs
- Meat and Eggs
- French Toast
- Fruit Salad
- Yogurt Parfait
- Smoothie
- Oatmeal
On The Run Breakfast Ideas:
- Yogurt
- Apple or other fruit and small handful of nuts
- String cheese
- Dry granola (1/3 cup) - make sure you drink plenty of water if you eat it dry
- Rice cake topped with peanut butter and applesauce or a light drizzle of honey
- Slice of cheese, piece of fruit or a slice of lunch meat
This basic eating philosophy should always come into play, especially with children:
- Make it tasty
- Work with the foods they like
- Gradually introduce new foods into their diet
- Cut back on sugar and white flour products
- Start serving whole grains
- Try to make it healthy as far as possible!
