Your body still knows how to move. neuro.up teaches your brain to remember.

neuro.up for Parkinson’s Disease is a research-driven movement program that stimulates dopamine production, builds new neural pathways, and gives people with Parkinson’s back confident, fluid, joyful movement.

Here’s the truth about Parkinson’s most doctors don’t have time to say: movement — the right movement, with the right rhythm, in the right sequence — is one of the most powerful neurological interventions available. Not a supplement. Not a side activity. A direct, science-backed input into the dopamine system that Parkinson’s is disrupting.

neuro.up for Parkinson’s was built to deliver that input. Every session uses music-driven rhythmic movement, cross-lateral brain exercises, amplitude training, breathwork, and joyful engagement to activate dopamine, protect neurons, build new motor circuits, and give participants the experience of moving with confidence and ease — sometimes for the first time in years.

The science: why movement is the most powerful tool in your Parkinson's arsenal.

Parkinson's depletes dopamine - neuro.up replenishes it and creates new neural pathways to build new movement function. That’s the premise every neuro.up session is built on.

Dopamine isn’t just the “feel-good” chemical. It’s the molecule your brain uses to initiate and coordinate movement. When dopamine-producing neurons in the substantia nigra are lost, movement slows, stiffens, and becomes unpredictable. That’s Parkinson’s.

neuro.up for Parkinson’s is specifically designed to stimulate the dopamine pathways — through every technique it uses:
Music and rhythm
activate the dopamine reward pathway directly, while Rhythmic Auditory Stimulation (RAS) bypasses disrupted motor circuits to improve gait, timing, and movement amplitude.
Laughter and joyful engagement
trigger a cascade of serotonin, oxytocin, and dopamine — shifting the nervous system from stress and rigidity to ease and flow.
High-intensity movement
has been shown in peer-reviewed research to protect remaining dopamine-producing neurons, potentially slowing the disease’s progression in the brain itself.
Progressive movement patterns
build new neural circuits in the motor cortex, creating alternate pathways for movement that compensate for those disrupted by Parkinson’s.
Cross-lateral brain exercises
simultaneously activate both brain hemispheres, stimulating the neural integration and bilateral coordination that Parkinson’s progressively disrupts.
The result is a session that doesn’t just feel good.
It does something measurable to the brain — and the effects compound over time.

What does a neuro.up for Parkinson's Disease session look like?

Imagine the moment the nervous system lets go of the tension it’s been holding all day, dopamine starts flowing, and the body remembers what it feels like to move with ease. That's the moment that neuro.up is designed around.

Sessions are 45-60 minutes of guided, joyful movement with music, laughter, and energy woven through every minute. No fitness experience required. Seated options for every movement. Every stage of Parkinson's welcome. Caregivers welcome.

2. Warm the body.

Head-to-toe warmup that increases mobility, circulation, and spinal activation to prepare the Parkinson's body for purposeful movement.

3. Build the circuits.

This is the heart of the program. Cross-lateral patterns, amplitude training, gait sequences, and dual-task brain challenges work progressively — firing the motor cortex and building on what the brain learned last week, building new neural pathways.

4. Restore & renew.

Shaking, breathing, and stillness give the dopamine system time to consolidate what the session built — and return every participant to a state of calm, restored energy.

1. Ignite the system.

Activate dopamine before a single exercise begins — through hands rubbing together, deep breaths, smiling, shaking, laughing. The brain shifts from stress to openness in under two minutes.

What people are saying about neuro.up.

Here from the Parkinson' Connection of Central New Mexico below:
Alive, Fit & Free has been an extraordinary resource of strength for our community. From the moment we first engaged with them, the energy and compassion of the team were uplifting yet understanding of the limitations that people with Parkinson’s have. Every program, workshop, and support session is delivered with transparency, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help people live better with Parkinson’s. Their programs are not only thoughtfully designed but highly effective. Our community has experienced meaningful improvements in physical confidence, emotional well being, and overall quality of life. Vickie and her team of instructors truly listen, adapt, and go above and beyond to ensure every participant feels supported and empowered. Alive, Fit, and Free doesn’t just offer services- they create transformation. We are deeply grateful for the energy, excellence, and integrity they bring to this program daily.
